Definition of Surrealism

Surrealism a creation of the mind that tends to beyond words. The father of Surrealism is Salvador Dali. A Spanish artist who worked with the idea of the dream state, such as the art piece The persistence of Memory, 1931.

How does this play a role in today's art industry?

It plays a role of setting a genre in the artworld and plays an important role of expression. At times it can be very hard for an individual to find the words to express how they feel and thus surrealism can play an important role as a key element.

In many of my artworks the genre plays a role in helping me with my dream-state, intuition, and feelings be expressed in a visual format that helps others understand how I felt when creating the piece, why it was created and the main takeaways for the viewers to use in their own artworks and in their day-to-day life.
